CDHI Quarterly Team Meeting – Lecture on the Sharing of Privacy-Sensitive Data for Research by Dominik Rüegger, 8 June 2021

Recent PhD graduate and CDHI researcher Dr. Dominik Rüegger PhD will be be speaking on the topic of Sharing of Privacy-Sensitive Data for Research.

About Dominik Rüegger

Dominik Rüegger is a recent doctoral graduate from CDHI, where he worked on the PEACH (personality coach) project, and explored the use of smarthone data for studying personality change. Aside from his main interest in applying computer science methods for research and applications in psychology and healthcare, he also maintains an interest in solutions for ensuring information security and privacy. Dominik has previously worked as a software engineer and data analyst, and focused on information security while completing his MSc in computer science.

About the Lecture

The lecture will review the increasing challenges for sharing privacy-sensitive data for research. Dominik will then go on to present and discuss approaches for solutions based on concepts such as k-anonymity, differential privacy, federated learning, and data sharing platforms.
