I attended the 4th International Conference on Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology (DESRIST 2019) in Worcester, MA, U.S. I presented our work as 1-minute rapid presentation and as a poster presentation. I got good feedback from the other conference attendees. Also, there was a lot of interest in knowing the outcome of our study once it starts.

This conference was my first participation in the design science research community. I was fascinated by the fact that this community focuses on developing methods and artifacts geared towards solving real-world problems. I enjoyed the informal conversation outside of presentations as I learned about people’s life experiences and research.

I’m definitely looking forward to staying connected to this community as its goals align with those of mine in terms of developing technologies focused on addressing real-world problems!
