Rasita Vinay receives the Caroline Miles Visiting Fellowship at the University of Oxford

We are pleased to announce that our CORE Director for Digital Ethics and Care for Older Adults, Dr. Rasita Vinay, has been awarded the Caroline Miles Visiting Fellowship award at the Ethox Centre, University of Oxford. She will complete her 4-week research stay in Oxford in late 2024.

During her fellowship, Rasita’s research will focus on the ethical frameworks and principles that underpin contemporary debates in digital health ethics, particularly focusing on emerging digital health technologies for dementia care which support aging-in-place. This opportunity to engage with researchers at the Ethox Centre further strengthens Rasita’s domain expertise in Digital Ethics, and will be a valuable experience to advance her work with voice-based conversational agents. Rasita will engage in expert roundtables and workshops to develop ethical design considerations for her voice assistant, GRACE, by incorporating Value-Sensitive Design (VSD) and Ethics by Design for Artificial Intelligence (EbD-AI) frameworks.

We hope Rasita’s research stay will further enhance our collaboration with the Ethox Centre, at the University of Oxford for all our future projects in digital health. We wish her a successful research stay!
