PhD Diploma with highest distinction for Dr Peter Tinschert

Today, September 14 2020, we are very proud of Dr Peter Tinschert who received his PhD Diploma (Ph.D. HSG) with the predicate “with highest distinction” on the basis of his doctoral thesis on Enabling digital medicine for asthma: clinical utility of nocturnal cough and sleep quality as digital biomarkers and of the statutory doctoral examinations. The award ceremony was conducted in strict compliance with the Covid-19 code of conduct and protective measures. Thus, Prof Dr Bernhard Ehrenzeller, President of the University of St.Gallen, congratulated Peter virtually (see image below).

Peter was a doctoral student at our centre working on the project Clara: Nocturnal Cough Detection and Asthma Control PredictionAsthma Control Prediction Project. He is now the Co-Founder and CEO of Resmonics. His lessons learnt are as follows: “My MSc in psychology and years of research experience in digital health made me realize that it is often more worthwhile to change technology than human behavior, in particular in chronic care.

We wish Peter all the best of luck with his next steps at Resmonics and that he is able, with his team, to help individuals in need and thus, to leverage the potential of digital health to reduce the global burden of chronic respiratory conditions.

Thank you, Peter!
