About the lecture
Living in a country in the state of the war is a very stressful experience and there is no need to explain in detail what short- and long-term consequences it might have. The very relevant question in this situation is ‘how can we help?’ Professionals from various spheres can help within the measures of their competence. We, as psychologists, have been doing that almost since the very first days of the war. This guest lecture is dedicated to the presentation of two big research projects that are aimed at helping Ukrainians in need. The first covers two major goals: to obtain valuable data about the impact of air raid alarms, explosions, blackouts, and issues with heating on the mental health of Ukrainians, as well as to help citizens cope with this stress with the help of the mobile app (ESMira) which allows them to monitor the dynamics of their psychological state over time. The second project is directed at obtaining data about sleep quality and providing cognitive-behavioral online therapy of sleep via the ”NUKKUAA” mobile app. We hope that with such healthification steps we can make the lives of Ukrainians easier in such harsh and dark times.
This lecture is hosted by Dr. Florian Schulz from the University of St.Gallen. Registration is not required.
