Keynotes by Anne Geier and Tobias Kowatsch, Feb 10, at the Scale-IT-Up Workshop 2022

In conjunction with the 15th International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies – BIOSTEC 2022, Dr Anne Sophie Geier and Dr Kowatsch will give keynotes at the 3rd International Workshop on Scaling-Up Health-IT – Scale-IT-up 2022 on Thursday, February 10, 10 am CET via Zoom.

About Dr Anne Sophie Geier
Dr. Anne Sophie Geier has been the Managing Director of the German Digital Healthcare Association since October 2020. She is a pharmacist by training and completed her PhD in real-world evidence and outcomes research at WWU Münster and Harvard Medical School. In her previous career, she worked in management consulting for a pharmaceutical company and as a team head for the early benefit assessment of new medicinal substances at the German National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds. She will give a keynote about “Tracks for Digital Health Innovations in Germany – first lessons learnt in the field of Digital Health Applications.”

About Dr Tobias kowatsch
Dr Tobias Kowatsch is Assistant Professor for Digital Health at the University of St.Gallen, and the Scientific Director of the Centre for Digital Health Interventions (www.c4dhi.org), a joint initiative of the Department of Management, Technology and Economics at ETH Zurich and the Institute of Technology Management at the University of St.Gallen. In close collaboration with his interdisciplinary team and research partners, Tobias designs digital health interventions (“digital pills”) at the intersection of information systems research, computer science and behavioral medicine. He helped initiate and participates in the ongoing development of MobileCoach, an open-source platform for ecological momentary assessments, health monitoring and digital health interventions. He is also co-founder of the ETH Zurich and University of St.Gallen spin-off company Pathmate Technologies that creates and delivers digital clinical pathways. Tobias will give a keynote entitled “What Can We Learn from Squid Game, Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad to Lower the Socioeconomic Inequalities in Health?
