Today, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Finance and Chairman of National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore, Mr. Heng Swee Keat visited ETH Zurich. His visit focussed on research in health science and its translation to society.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Florian von Wangenheim, Head of the Chair of Technology Marketing and Prabhakaran Santhanam, scientific assistant from the Center for Digital Health Interventions (CDHI) got the fantastic opportunity to showcase the importance and applications of chatbots in the health domain. An interactive demo of the chatbot MAX complemented the poster presentation. MAX being an asthma coach built from the open source intervention platform MobileCoach, teaches children with asthma about their condition. The minister and his delegation interacted enthusiastically during the talk and brainstormed the impacts of these health projects in Singapore. They enjoyed the hands-on experience with the chatbot and were curious about the implementation details of these mobile applications and the MobileCoach framework.
