Call for Master’s Thesis: Analyzing real-world data to evaluate the effectiveness of a start-up’s overweight treatment program
We are excited to invite master’s thesis candidates to apply for a unique research opportunity with a dynamic start-up dedicated to treating overweight individuals through a self-designed program. This is a chance to work with real-world data and gain valuable insights into the effectiveness of innovative health interventions.
You will have the opportunity to dive into a comprehensive dataset provided by the start-up. Further, you will have the chance to engage with former participants of the program to gather qualitative data on their current situation, challenges faced, and overall satisfaction with the program.
Furthermore, you will assess the long-term impact of the program on participants’ health and well-being.
You should bring excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth interviews and analyze qualitative data. Fluency in German is required, as interviews with former participants will be conducted in German. Furthermore, statistical knowledge or a background in data science are beneficial.
Start: Anytime, as soon as possible
Methodology: Quantitative data analysis and semi-structured interviews
Duration: 6 months (or to be discussed)
Co-supervisors: Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch, Dr. Marcia Nißen, Dr. des. Anja Bischof
