Call for Master’s Thesis: Evaluating the effectiveness of a digital ADHD intervention for adolescents

A Swiss startup, Gossik, introduces an innovative amalgamation of digital ADHD coaching and a supportive organizational app tailored for adolescents aged 10 to 20 years old. The coaching program aims to address the unique needs of adolescents, providing them with tools to effectively manage their ADHD symptoms. Complementing this, the accompanying app facilitates the application of skills acquired during coaching sessions in their daily lives, promoting independence.

We are looking for a motivated student to support the setup, conduct, and evaluation of the first study to build evidence for this intervention. The main goal is to assess the effectiveness of the digital ADHD intervention for adolescents. The primary focus revolves around investigating how the combination of coaching and app utilization enhances the quality of life, independence, and management of ADHD symptoms among the participating adolescents.

The study will involve a cohort of 10-15 adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, who will receive guidance from Gossik over three months. Concurrently, a control group of 10-15 ADHD-diagnosed adolescents will be observed without intervention. Psychosomatic assessments and standardized questionnaires will be administered before the commencement of guidance and monthly thereafter to capture changes in ADHD symptoms. The outcomes aim to bolster the evidence base of Gossik’s intervention.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Master’s student with a background in psychology, education, or a related field. The ideal candidate should have an interest in child and adolescent mental health, with strong quantitative and qualitative research skills. Proficiency in statistical analysis and experience in conducting psychometric assessments would be advantageous.
