A warm welcome to PhD student Victoria Brügger

We are very happy to welcome Victoria Brügger, our new PhD student at the Chair for Digital Health Interventions (Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch), at the School of Medicine, University of St. Gallen. She is also a member of the CSS Health Lab. Her PhD research will focus on developing and validating digital (risk) biomarkers for metabolic health. She will be closely supervised by Dr. Mia Jovanova (Core Director Digital Biomarker in Metabolic Health), Prof. Dr. Elgar Fleisch, and Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch.

Victoria holds an MSc in Food Science from ETH Zurich, where she completed her thesis at the University Hospital Zurich, and an MSc in Biostatistics from the University of Zurich, with her thesis conducted at the National University of Singapore. Additionally, she has gained valuable experience as a data analytics intern at Roche Diagnostics and recently served as a Scientific Research Trainee at a startup specializing in longevity supplements.
