A Warm Welcome to Postdoctoral Researcher Dr. Rasita Vinay

We are very happy to welcome Dr. Rasita Vinay, who joins us as a postdoctoral researcher specializing in dementia research. At the Centre for Digital Health Interventions, she will begin her project on developing GRACE – a voice assistant that provides behavioral and lifestyle interventions to people living with dementia. Rasita has previously collaborated with our center. For example, she co-supervised Master’s students and worked on joint research publications, such as the following:

Schneider, C., Nißen, M.K., Kowatsch, T., Vinay, R., Impact of digital assistive technologies on the quality of life for people with dementia: a scoping review, BMJ Open, 14(2), 10.1136/bmjopen-2023-080545.

She completed her Ph.D. in 2023 at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine, University of Zurich. Her doctoral thesis provided a bioethical insight into dementia care, centered around patient-centered care and the ethical use of AI to ease caregiving practices. During her Ph.D., Rasita also engaged in other projects relating to ethics in public health, women’s health, and, more recently, digitalization. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) at the University of Melbourne and her Master in Bioethics at Monash University, both in Australia.
