A warm welcome to PhD student Davinny Sou

We are very happy to welcome Davinny Sou, our new doctoral researcher at the School of Medicine of the University of St. Gallen under the Chair of Prof. Tobias Kowatsch and PhD candidate at ETH Zurich in the Biomedical Data Science Lab (Department of Health Sciences and Technology) in the team of Prof. Catherine Jutzeler. Her research centres on female digital healthcare, with a specific emphasis on menstrual health. She will be closely supervised by Dr. Marcia Nißen (CDHI Core Director Female Health).

She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information systems from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and her strong passion for healthcare innovation was highlighted during her master’s thesis at ETH Zurich and her time as a student research assistant at KIT. For her master’s thesis, she collaborated with carecircle AG, a startup, and Microsoft Switzerland GmbH as part of an Innosuisse project supervised by Dr Marcia Nißen and Prof. Florian Wangenheim. In this project, she developed empathic healthcare chatbots designed for medical interviews. Davinny contributioned to projects like ‘MeKIDI’ and ‘CADY – A Conversational Agent to Treat Depression in Young.
