CDHI meets ETH Zurich’s Digital Einstein, Zurich, 6 Nov 2025

Today, Tobias Budig, Felix Moser, and Tobias Kowatsch from CDHI met with Dr. Rafael Wampfler, Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich (see Seminar on Digital Humans) to exchange on our lessons learned about (embodied) conversational agents as well as rule-based, LLM-based and hybrid (rule- and LLM-based) voice interaction pipelines. Rafael also showed us the very impressive Digital Einstein project and we had some fun interacting with the “virtual Albert”.
For us at CDHI, this exchange was very insightful and highly relevant for our projects UMZH PRECIOUS (A Design and Trial Service for Precision Digital Therapeutics), SNF GRACE (A Voice Assistant for Improving the Quality of Life in People with Early Dementia), and DSI ELIAS (An Agentic Interview Service). As a result of this exchange, we are exploring collaborative projects focusing on conversational agent-delivered precision digital therapeutics that are characterized by highly personalized interactions and high human-agent working alliance.
A big thanks to you, dear Rafael.
