From Wearables to AI Coaching: Join CDHI at ISRII 2026, Oct 20-22, Newcastle, Australia

Join our researchers in Newcastle, Australia, on 20–22 October 2026 for the ISRII 14th Scientific Meeting. With 9 accepted contributions, we will explore a shared ambition: making digital health more responsive to people’s needs and easier to put into practice.
That journey starts with understanding everyday life. Our work connects lessons from wearable-based prediabetes research with a challenge that runs through digital health: helping people stay engaged with studies and interventions over time. Across our contributions, we examine how the timing of support, the quality of digital coaching, and the involvement of friends, family and human coaches shape people’s experiences.
These insights also inform how we build the next generation of interventions. We explore when people may be receptive to a prompt, how AI can recognize language signaling motivation to change, and how researchers can configure the freedom given to generative AI in coaching conversations. Our work on reusable components, including gamified breathing training, and a marketplace for digital therapeutics asks how useful innovations can become easier to share and adapt across programs.
Together, the contributions connect sensing, behavioral science, AI and implementation around the realities of daily life. Come meet our researchers, explore the demonstrations, and exchange ideas for future collaborations. Whether you work in research, clinical practice or digital health development, we look forward to connecting in Newcastle!
