A warm welcome to new team member Anne Strunz

We are delighted to welcome Anne Strunz as our newest member of the CDHI team! Anne joins us as a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Technology Management (ITEM), University of St. Gallen, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Elgar Fleisch, Dr. Mia Jovanova and Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch. Her research will focus on the development and evaluation of sustainable business models for upstream disease prevention, as part of the PreDiabeTx Innosuisse flagship project (Subproject 5).

Anne holds a M.A. in Accounting and Corporate Finance from the University of St. Gallen, where she also completed a Master Certificate program in Financial Technologies, as well as a B.A. in International Business from Hochschule Furtwangen University. Alongside her studies, she gained practical experience in the financial sector, working on financial analyses and quantitative risk assessments at S&P Global and Commerzbank AG. Her master’s thesis explored the economic design and resilience mechanisms shaping the long-term viability of health insurance models amid demographic change.

Building on this foundation, Anne’s research interests lie at the intersection of health economics, digital prevention and business model innovation. Thus, she is particularly passionate about applying an economic perspective to digital health interventions to support their translation from pilot projects to scalable, long-term solutions.
