CHI 2026 Workshop: Call for Submissions on Digital Health Engagement (Due 12 Feb)

We are excited to share a call for submissions and participation for our Workshop on Engagement in Digital Health Interventions at ACM CHI 2026 in Barcelona, Spain (April 13–17, 2026)!

Why this workshop matters
Engagement is a core element for the success for digital health interventions (DHIs), yet it remains a conceptually and methodologically challenging topic. This workshop aims to connect researchers from HCI, psychology, health sciences, computer science, design, and related disciplines to explore how engagement is defined, measured, and designed for in DHIs.

We welcome two types of submissions

  1. Use cases (max.2 pages): Describe your past or ongoing work on engagement — how you defined and measured engagement and what you learned.  Writing an abstract is not needed
  2. Statements of interest (300–500 words): Share your motivation, interests, and ideas around engagement and your plans for future research.

All accepted contributions will be published (upon consent) on the workshop website and in CEUR-WS proceedings. At least one author of each accepted submission must attend the workshop and register for CHI 2026.

Deadline for submission: 12 February 2026 Anywhere on Earth

We encourage everyone interested in engagement (in DHIs or related areas) to consider submitting, whether you have established results or work-in-progress insights.
