A warm welcome to Hannes Dörting

We are delighted to welcome Hannes Dörting at the Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care (Team Digital Health Interventions), University of Zurich, and the Centre for Digital Health Interventions. He will be joining Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch to support the project ELIAS, an Agentic Interview Service co-funded by the Digital Society Initiative. His main responsibilities will thereby entail developing future business applications for the ELIAS tool, creating a business plan, reviewing compliance and regulatory requirements, and designing future integrations into university processes.
Hannes has an academic background in business administration, having completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in 2025. Since last autumn, he is now pursuing his master’s degree in corporate finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
Before joining us, Hannes already gained practical experience, specialising in economic and management issues in the healthcare sector, with initial work in management consulting and the start-up sector. During internships at, among others, Simon-Kucher, Roland Berger, and Merck KGaA, his work centred on the economic implementation and strategic roadmapping of healthcare products and services, ranging from digital hospital transformations to pharmaceutical business model development. Throughout all stations, he has consistently emphasised the translation of strategic concepts into operationally viable solutions, which he now continues to pursue as part of the CDHI.
