CDHI Team Places Second in Google France AI Hackathon

Big congratulations to CDHI Doctoral researcher Patrick Langer, who, together with CDHI alum Martin Maritsch and developers Nathan Denier and Nour Ben Rejeb, won 2nd place out of 130 participants and 26 teams at the „Hacking for Health and Life Sciences Hackathon “ at Google DeepMind Paris.

Their project was based on research between CDHI and Stanford, specifically using the Text-Time-Series LLMs Patrick developed while at Stanford. The project transforms smartwatch health data into actionable insights using Gemma. The application helps users identify early signs of health issues, supporting preventative care.

Patrick’s takeaway?  “It’s very cool to see how our work can lead to real-world applications!”
