A warm welcome to PhD student Felix Moser

We are very happy to welcome Felix Moser, our new PhD student at the Chair for Digital Health Interventions (Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch) at the School of Medicine, University of St. Gallen. Felix is also a member of our CDHI Core on Digital Ethics & Care for Older Adults led by Dr. Rasita Vinay. His PhD research will focus on the development and evaluation of GRACE, an LLM voice assistant aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals living with dementia by delivering multicomponent behavioral and lifestyle interventions. The GRACE project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Felix will be closely supervised by Dr. Rasita Vinay and Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch.

Felix holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Informatics from the Technical University of Munich, where he focused on engineering software-intensive systems and digital health. He completed an exchange semester at the Technical University of Denmark and was appointed a Research Fellow at Yale University School of Medicine, where he specialized in applying time series analysis to public health decision making and explored the integration of AI into clinical documentation.

Additionally, Felix completed projects at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG and the University Hospital Bonn, where he led several software development initiatives. He also brings practical experience from founding and scaling BO24, a mobile inventory management system, through which he gained valuable insights into product development and user-centered design.
